What was the highlight of Mama Waldy Hostel

Good location, it need repairs tho

What I liked the most about this place was the location, you can walk to all the main places that you must visit. The price was fair for the facilities that they have. The shower was clean.

I fell so bad coming down stairs from the jacuzzi, they should fix the stairs with some non-skid strips. The place needs some repairs and is not very tidy. It`s okay if you will just sleep and spend some hours there, also the Jacuzzi is cold and it didn't have clear water.

Unfortunately our room was awfull.

Unfortunately our room was awfull. We had a broken shower, the only window opened to the hallway so we couldn't leave it open at any time. The rooftop terrace was full of old bottles. Exept of the guy who was there on check in the whole staff doesn't really seem to care if you're here or is even annoyed by that fact. Breakfast is really basic, two toasts and some eggs. You really get what you pay for.

Nice Location but i wouldn‘t recommend Someone to stay there

Perfect Location to See the old town Nice rooftop but no Drinks at the bar

Bedbugs in the private rooms, they know the Problem but don‘t care. Dirty bathroom in the 4 bed dorm. Kids,who are Not living there, were playing Shooter games till 01:30 am. They asked in we want to pay at checkin or checkout when we arrived but charged the entire amount from the creditcard on the day of checkin. And afterall they asked on checkout day if we want to pay cash or by card. So if you dont know that they had already Charged it you would pay twice!!!

We had a balcony and people smoked in the lounge area in th 1st floor, which means all the smoke came to our room. Should be quiet 23.30 but actually was noisy till 01.00 No warm water Breakfast lady was quite impressless and didnt want to be bothered.

WARNING BEDBUGS / ADVERTANCIA CHINCHES

The overnight staff deserve a raise for the way they dealt with our situation.

First night and first room = bedbugs rampant in our room my partner and I woke up at 4am covered in bites. To top it all off, bathroom was not clean on arrival and the room was a shoebox. Second night and new room = hole in 4-bed dorms' door (20cm by 80cm) allowed mosquitos to fly in and no mosquito nets provided. Again woke up at 6am covered in bites. Overall the hygiene standards at this hostel were some of the worst I have seen in four months in Latin America.

Big hole in the bathroom wall as a vent let the flies in but not a major problem also I just wanted to rest as I had partyed the carnival for 2nights days before I went then 2day trex to playa brava, pueblito and tayrona so just wanted to get some good rest but was quite loud and the a/c kept leaking plus door wouldn't lock but they had camaras pointing to the room so wasn't that big of deal but still not a good feeling when your out and about

Clean, nice kitchen and comfortable beds.

I slept in the dorm close to the entrance and TV area. It was impossible to sleep since the TV was on until 01:30. Furthermore, the staff kept on forgetting to register what I had paid, so I had to convince them I already paid (I.e. for laundry and the room itself)

Perfect location

Hostel is located close to the central part of Getsemani and shorts walk from the historical center. Cute terrace and common areas. Very pleasant stay.

I stayed in private room for 5 nights and it wasn’t cleaned, no one has removed the trash even when I asked for it.

Hostel in a great location

Comfortable beds, nice breakfast of eggs toast and watermelon, free coffee all day, the location is really good! Kitchen was nice too.

The private room was by the lobby, so a lot of noise. The dorms are much quieter. The roof is nice, but needs some shade!
